Infortrend, an American company specializing in the development of a wide range of SAN products based on its own chips, controllers and software, is presenting at Computex several new storage solutions in the EonStor series, based on different disk interfaces and network connection methods.
- EonStor A24F-R2224: 4U, 24 SATA-II drive bays, external iSCSI – a powerful solution based on cheap front-swappable drives, redundant internal architecture with no single point of failure.
- EonStor A08U-C2411 and A08U-C2412: desktop or tower solution (proprietary Cube form factor) for SATA-II drives, backward compatible with SATA-I, the second model features a 250W hot replacement of drives and two SCSI-320 channels outside, as well as the presence of a BBU (backup battery for the controller, which, in the event of an external power failure, makes it possible to postpone disk transactions until it appears without losing data for about a day).
