UMC manufactures a voltage controlled generator operating at record high frequency
One of the leaders in the semiconductor industry, UMC, announced the release of a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) operating at a record high operating frequency ? 105 GHz. Product manufactured using 130nm RFCMOS process. The development of the chip was carried out by researchers from the University of Florida.
The previous record for the maximum operating frequency for a CMOS oscillator was 103 GHz.
