For the two new Nikon cameras just announced, the company also introduced two new lenses that expand the functionality of the D50 and D70s.

The first lens, the AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm f / 3.5-5.6G ED, provides 3x focal lengths, the angle of view corresponds to the focal length of the 27-82.5mm lens for 35mm film cameras. The lens is equipped with a silent ultrasonic motor (SWM – Silent Wave Motor), is compact (69 x 74 mm) and weighs approximately 210 g.
