From editorial mail: Elbarus is a modern Russian processor

As our readers inform us, there are only a few days left before the release of a modern Russian microprocessor code-named Elbarus.

When creating Elbarus, the designers used the popular today dual-core architecture, compatible with modern 32-bit and 64-bit code from Intel and AMD. The originality of this processor lies in the fact that one core in it is fully compatible with the architecture of the Pentium 4 processor, and the other with the Athlon architecture. As a result, the processor will go on sale for both platforms at once – with the LGA 775 interface and Socket 754 / Socket 939. A specific interface can be selected when ordering a large batch of processors.

The processor has a special rail to bridge, which allows you to determine which of the two available cores to use to execute a particular program code. From the point of view of the system, Elbarus is defined as two processors – Pentium 4 EE and Athlon 64 FX.

The processor goes on sale with a top rating + РХ4000, at what frequency it really works – it has not yet been reported. It is planned to be on sale next month.
