IBM announces eServer p5 570 with IBM processors
Power5 running Linux leaves other servers far behind and sets a world record for the fastest processing of online transactions for 4-processor servers.
The performance of the new IBM server was 197 669 transactions per minute. To date, no IBM Linux server has claimed the highest performance in the TPC-C benchmark.
