Epson’s first commercial direct print product
As recently as early November, we wrote about Epson’s revolutionary technology, and today, less than six months later, a commercial product made with D4 direct printing is presented.
Today, the development of the technology of inkjet micropiezo printing by Epson is such that the dosage accuracy reaches 1 picoliter of solution and 1 nanogram of dry matter, while the accuracy of applying reagents allows you to switch from the lithographic process of manufacturing semiconductor elements and printed circuit boards to direct printing of active elements on a substrate. The first swallow was a TFT HTPS (high temperature polisilicon, high temperature polysilicon) panel for a projector.
